Together For Safety: Ending Violence, Ensuring Equality- A Roundtable Discussion

On International Women’s Day, March 8, 2025, a Roundtable Meet was organized by Network Chorus: Jaagte Raho, a collective forum of NGOs working to address the safety and security of women in public spaces and the workplace.
The event brought together 35 participants representing educational institutions, NGOs, CSOs, associations, and networks. They engaged in meaningful discussions, shared experiences, and suggested actionable strategies for improving women’s safety.
Key Highlights:
- Poster Launch:Posters focusing on themes like safety infrastructure gaps, victim blaming, and patriarchy were unveiled to raise awareness about gender-based violence (GBV).
- Collaborative Solutions:Participants emphasized the need to leverage existing networks for a better understanding of district-level challenges.
- Service Provider Engagement:Recommendations were made to include local service providers for effective on-ground support and resource dissemination.
- Male Engagement:The importance of sensitizing men and boys to challenge gender stereotypes and contribute to safer environments was highlighted.
Moving forward, Network Chorus: Jaagte Raho aims to collaborate on initiatives addressing women’s safety, fostering collective action, and driving systemic change.
