#mPowerWomen@Work Meet
On June 1st a round table meet followed by a visit to Bade and Dhansiripar village based handicraft clusters was organised. Experts in the field of agriculture, sustainable tourism, music, fashion, handicraft, food and wellbeing along with YouthNet Incubation center officials visited the villages and discussed about sector-specific strengths, challenges, opportunities and ways to develop entrepreneurship keeping in mind the Intangible Cultural Heritage quotient of Weaver’s community in Dhansiripar and Banana fiber extraction cluster in Bade village.
In the second half of the day a round-table meet was hosted at Naga Bowl Café in Dimapur with Experts in the field of agriculture, sustainable tourism, music, fashion, handicraft, food and wellbeing. The discussions focused on exploring the impediments faced by the women doing businesses in different sectors in Nagaland. All of them agreed the importance of building a sustainable network for women in business to ensure growth and scalability.
