As part of the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) 5.0, supported by the U.S. Consulate General Kolkata, a six-day jewellery design workshop was held in Dimapur, Nagaland.

Women artisans from diverse communities—Ao, Angami, Chakesang, Lotha, and Sangtam—came together, bringing their rich cultural heritage and unique skills to the table. Under the mentorship of designer Tanisha Zaman, participants explored natural fibre jewellery, blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design.

Through hands-on learning, they experimented with innovative techniques and material combinations, co-creating a stunning jewellery collection that celebrates Nagaland’s artistry.
