AWE 5.0: Bootcamp for women-led businesses in Nagaland

As part of the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) 5.0, a dynamic two-day district-level Bootcamp was organized in partnership with YouthNet and the Women Entrepreneurs Network Nagaland (WENN). The event brought together 35 women entrepreneurs from across Chumoukedima, Dimapur, Kohima, and Mon, representing diverse sectors such as handicrafts, jewellery, handloom, food processing, and tourism.
Business experts from Contact Base and distinguished speakers including Mr. Rishav Sethi (CEO, NITI Nagaland), Mr. Kiyelu T Yeptho (District Industries Center, Dimapur), and Ms. Nune Chase (Director, YouthNet) led interactive sessions on:
- Business Development Fundamentals
- Digital Marketing
- Customer Identification
- Business Communications
The Bootcamp provided a collaborative platform for entrepreneurs to share their challenges, achievements, and business goals, gaining valuable insights into business formalization and growth strategies. Participants also showcased their products, receiving enthusiastic responses with several items sold during the event.
The women expressed their appreciation for the hands-on learning experience and look forward to further support in scaling their businesses.
This initiative exemplifies the commitment of AWE 5.0 to nurturing women-led entrepreneurship and fostering sustainable economic growth in Nagaland.
